New research exposes Tamiflu scam

A review from the Cochrane Collaboration — an independent organization advocating the accessibility of systematic healthcare reviews — has recently uncovered clinical evidence showing the lack of effectiveness of anti-viral drugs Tamiflu and Relenza.

Until recently, these documents were only available to manufacturers and regulators. After a four-year effort, however, researchers are now able to assess previously unpublished data on the topic.

Aside from finding no concrete proof of the drugs’ effectiveness against viral transmission, Tamiflu even registered certain negative side effects. In particular, the drug was associated with nausea, vomiting, headaches and psychiatric problems.

Furthermore, according to researchers, there were also substantial problems with the design, reporting and availability of information with many of the drug trials.

The revelation of these data strengthened a movement against what’s referred to as “publication bias,” in which scientists omit negative or inconclusive findings and broadcast only their positive ones.

At present, however, there is no easy way for the public to review data from all scientific studies done on any given topic. In addition to this, research has also shown that when drug manufacturers pay scientists and fund their studies, researchers are more likely to give favorable reports.

Instead of depending on unreliable drugs like Tamiflu, it is advisable to consume enough fruits and vegetables, get enough exercise, increase your intake of essential fats like omega-3s and use natural immune boosters, like oregano oil and garlic, to improve your health.
